Happy Teachers' Day

Happy Teachers' Day!

It's a joyous occasion for us as we only have a half day session! Morning session pupils went at 7.20am till 10.50am whereas for us, we went at 7.50am till 11.20am! It was a rainy, stormy and thunderous day so instead of assembling the kids in the parade ground, we assembled the kids in the canteen. Then we brought them back to the classroom. *sigh* I didn't plan anything special for the hours to be spent with the kids. Some of the colleagues having party with the kids, while some, continued with spelling and as for me, I told them to play among themselves. however, they went mad...therefore I gathered them to the front to play 'Hang Man' but they were bored after while.

I let them loose again.

The boys were very happy with their pokemon cards (I dont understand why) I wonder was it Teacher's Day or Children's Day =_=





This group was happily drawing on the paper. I guessed they were plaing tic tac toe.

This group of gals happily crowding around me and asked me if I have a boyfriend! Two plates of bee hoon given by the party teachers so I gave them to eat! Check out the cheeky boys behind!



The kids were happily playing until I switched on the computer and gathered them infront to watch magic shows. Showed them Cryil Takahama but they were bored by the loading of the videos. Therefore I showed them this prank Japanese toilets clips. They laughed till their heads off! Then I went on showing Sponge Bob Square Pants, then, Ultraman. I really wonder was it teachers' day or children's day.

The rainy day made it impossible for us to conduct ACES day. ACES aka All Children Exercise Simultaneously. Therefore, we got to line the P3 to P6 pupils along the class room and the P1 and P2 pupils in the school hall. It was realllly chaotic. Despite Rachel's instructions on the mike, the kids carried on running the hall, passing gifts to different teachers. Even their form teachers couldnt control the kids cause.. it was EVERYWHERE!

Finally we got them seated down. It was so cramped. I wonder how to conduct the line dancing!






But we did it!









After months of training the kids, we only danced 2 songs. I was so disappointed. Well, due to tme constraint i guessed... too bad.

We proceeded on the teachers' day concert! It was fully organised by the parent volunteers! Just as we were complaining about some parents, check out these parents! They were so enthusiastic and helpful!

You wouldn't believe this! The backdrop, consisting of all kids' messages from all level, piece up together by the parents! Amazing!






It was fun to see the kids dancing especially out P1 and P2 kids!

Yes.. I got the Tiger Award. Voted by the P1 and P2 kids. Meaning.. the strictest.. also means I'm the fiercest... hehe..Well, im not surprised! Nominees were Rachel, Christina and I .. keke... I knew I would win!







The concert ended with lots of laughter especially when I was covered up and made to parade for the kids to guess who am I . Obviously, by looking at my size they should guess is me! guess at... one kid came up and guessed WRONGLY! I luff till I rolled. anyway, it seems like is children's day more than teacher's day.. esp when I kanna sabo-ed =_=
