Tiring Thursday

began my day with a SWOLLEN right eye. The day before my eye was red and when I got home from Newton Circus, my eye was red and swollen. I tot after a nite's sleep I'll be fine. Who knows..when I woke up.. my eyes were like panda's and I had no choice but to wear my spectacles.

before going to school, met Kelly at Kovan to order flowers for her mummy's birthday. Guess wat.. she ordered.. 53 stalks of roses! weeee weee i really do hope to see how nice it will be! so exciting! keke..

went to school earlier for the product demonstration of a new machine we bought (nowaday schools are rich.. haha..). This is a wonderful powerful machine to measure the kids' BMI. That's their weights, heights etc juz within 3 seconds! I said it's wonderful as its connected to a laptop where the teacher retrieved the class list and could start to measure the kids height and weight almost immediately (previously,we need to measure one by one with a clipboard to record manually, then look at the weighing machine (sometimes we really didn't read accurately!). So anyway, the software will even show if the kid is overweight or underweight or acceptable weight. wats more, if the kid is overweight, it even show the target (e.g -2 means to lose 2 kg). so amazing.. we teachers of cuz went on the scale to look at our weight and height. Damn... I cant believe Im just 1.51m tall! I think its not accurate! Pui...

Assembled my class in the hall for the measurement (BMI) then to the stage for their rehearsals (Whimsical Moment aka music day). My class will be singing "See the Lion Brave and Mighty". They sang with actions on stage with 3 pupils as lions walking around the hall. Well, of cuz they arent serious! They continued to giggle and jump and hop while on stage. Arghhh im gng crazy! Monday would be D Day for these children and we teachers are the one preparing and worried about it! This year, everyone of us was so into the props thingy that I would think theres a 1st 2nd 3rd prize. haha.. well this year.. everyone is a winner! haha..that makes me wonder why everyone of us prepared so much!

Let me tell you what some of us did!

P1-1 singing 'Twinkel Twinkle Little Star'. Teacher prepared a huge cardboard of a sun and clouds and windows....

P1-3 singing 'Sing, sing a song'. Teacher prepared hats, ribbons to tie all gals etc

P1-4 singing several 童谣 (children songs). Teacher got them to dress in their ethnic costumes. they will be using percussions too!

P1-5 singing 'See the Lion Brave and Mighty'. Teacher (that's ME) got them to prepare Big ears (for elephants), Long white ears (for rabbits), Small round ears (for monkeys) and a yellow hat with orange spots (for giraffe). 3 Lions to prepare their own cape and sticks and each a Burger King crown. recorded their voice using Samuel's ipod too! hehe...

P1-6 singing a rainbow song. Teacher bought a LARGE cloth and made a banner of rainbow with crepe papers. =_= SPOILER!

P1-9 singing 'A Whole New World'. Teacher bought tiara for the lead actress..

the rest of the classes.. low profile.. scarly on Monday theirs steady steady! $$%^& wats the competition about man???! hahaha.. anyway, I guess all of us just want to give our pupils the best experience they can.. I certainly hope my kids can perform well and enjoy themselves!
