Kelly's Tea Ceremony

Finally it's time to blog about Kel's wedding. Her wedding affairs took 2 days and first day was the tea ceremony.

The gals (me, jac and shimin) went to her place at 6.30am. =_=" Imagine waking up at 5plus to do my make up!
















Kel still doing her make up when we reached! So we had a nice mee siam breakfast cooked by kel's dad. Yum yum! Wee Lee and the rest of the sistas were there oready too! So earli in the morning, the house oready packed. haha...

So after the breakfast... guess who's very busy.

Who did not have her make up on before she went to Kel's hse. Before the day we even were sourcing clothes with her for Kel's wedding. What a busy week for jac and some of us. Kelly... ur 面子大 (face big) ok! haha...

So before the groom arrived, the parents got to put the veil for her.
















swee liao lah. Now waiting for the groom to arrive. Before she even did her makeup or wear her gown, he kept telling her he's gng to arrive soon! wow kan jiong lo!

So before Alex (the groom) arrived, I knew he got the house keys and he sure to be yaya about the fact that he got the keys! So we did this!
















No way he's gng to get in!

Finally he arrived, we bargained and demanded him to sing a song. Who knows, Kel demanded him to sing from DOWNSTAIRS. After struggling for minutes, i dunno how, he managed to remove the rod!!! Argh.... all of us had to hold on to the door. So he had no choice but to go downstairs to sing.

All Jie Meis ran into Kel's room, open the window grilles and shouted (ok Onli ME who's shouting) down the flat. This stupid Alex said he dunno lyrics lah. dunno this dunno that lah. how to sing. (look and sound damn desperate). So I said ok... how about reasons why u love ur wife.

alex: KELLY~ I LOVE YOU BECAUSE U R FAT AND CUTE!

we: HOoooorrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I seriously think he's damn brave lah! In the end he just went up the unit again and best of all, HIS own set of keys were left at the door before they went down so now they got no keys. Ahaha... Nellie (kel's younger sis) managed to take big angbaos small angbaos from them!
















Miserable few dollars! They still tot of cheating us! Hrump! Normally I would throw back those small amount. But Nellie said got money jiu take! ahahah she's clever. She even took the best man's coins and small notes. It added up to the real sum. yeah... we got more haha..

The clock in the living room was so misleading that we thought we had no time to play anymore. Meanwhile Kelly's mum kept wanting to help Alex! Haiyo! So we let him in after the real grand angbao we got!

Well that's not the end for alex. Kel's room door was still locked. We told him he must sing a song before she opens the door. He got no choice. He begged and he said he dunno lyrics lah this and that.
















No choice. He sang.

So after the hoo haa... they bid farewell to Kel's parents and off we go to their Jurong flat. SO FAR!

We took a long journey to Jurong, just to let the couple sit at one of the specific direction in the house for an hour then we set off to Alex's house.
















We finally got to makan there! It was really delicious!

We stood outside Alex's house to wait for Kel to change into her Kua. Shimin took over the camera, saying wanna shot a BEST angle for me.

After many many laughters we headed back to Kel's house. (half dead liao) This time back to her house, MORE people were there for the tea ceremony.
















Kel's mum prepared a THICK bracelet for Alex. Kelly got a DRAGON bangle too! Power Gold... But seriously they are very special de lo. Nowaday who like GOLD!?
















Nellie got to serve tea to her 姐夫 lo!

After the whole day, Kel got really tired with the heels (4 inches right?). She got to be so unglamorous! haha... that's nellie to her rescue!

So well we were chatting and eating outside Kel's house. Then the couple came out and chatted with us too. The gals still playing...

So lovely.... Anyway Kel wasn't feeling cold. Just being bo liao! haha

Then we headed to Kel's ah ma's house. Her ah ma is weak and not mobile so we all went to allow Kel to 敬茶.
















At first her ah ma refused to take pics. Or rather, too shy. then kel's auntie psycho her that Kel wld really wanna a pic w her yada yada, then she agreed. And thank to the photographer, she smiled and took many pics with the sisters. hehe...

So after the ah ma's house. We parted. Ended the day with a tiring body. Went home and took a short nap before I met Kel again for her technical run at the dinner place.

We went to her hotel at Conrad too. The christmas tree is soooo unique!

Nellie made herself at home at the hotel. It was exactly the same as the one Nancy had. The room quite small but it doesn't matter cuz Kel changed to an executive suite the next day. Adjacent to her room was her elder sis Wendy. They booked the suite beside theirs. Will blog about it in my next entry!


****wedding can be so tiring!****
