Children's Day Celebration

This year celebration was really HELL for most of us. Not only we were in charge of the concert items (super kanna arrowed), ppl like me from Maths Dept got to organise Maths Trail, then being arty farty, we got to decorate the hall. And on top of that, as a form teacher, we got to be with them ALL THE WAY! No word can describe how tired we were that day!
















Did bookmarks for my kids. Bought them a set of stationary and also a matrix cube to play. Those already cost me a bomb!

HERNIE MASLINDA!

Some more quietly quietly! Hrump! Kelly and I decided to hide it one day b4 the actual day! Dunno who's the bao toe one, actually told hernie about her missing bottles! In the morning she smsed EVERYBODY..like that I NOE WAT U DID sms... boo hoo hoo.. I decided to give her a clue!

I have many siblings.
My parents are BIG.
Many children like me.
What am I?

She did not get it! Stooooppid lah! keke....

Anyway,we hid the bottles in cupboard where we keep the small books of the BIG books. There are many small books (siblings), they are the same as the big books (parents). All p1 n p2 children read them (many children). hehe.. I am smart.

This year, we decided to 'perform' a few items. First, nursery rhythms.

I forgot Shimin's role. She's supposed to be a little boy! Looks like it lo! haha... Oh take a look at her hat. That's from Rach. Rach's head is really huge lah!

Poor Kelly! I also forget what's her role. She was supposed to act with Jac, a gal who's scared of spidey!

And frightened Miss Muffet away.


Don't ask me how to sing this. I guess I got no childhood! Simply dunno all those above!

We had lots of fun dressing up again. Most of us really didn't know what to do on stage. So much for in prompt tu!

After all the dressing up, packing the kids' pressies, preparing for the Maths Trail, we quickly ran up the hall for the actual concert. Once I went up, I got a shock of my life!

Oh forgot to add. Children's day celebration also in conjunction with Be yourself Day (an event organised by The Newpaper). Our theme for the kids was Superheroes (yes... once again but this time, also can be who you admire)!

CLOWNS!

They were really funny and on lah! I really take my hat off them! They went around making funny actions and noises, giving sweets and even danced with the pupils. Funny sacrifices.

Our concert began with a skit from P3 teachers. Also very funny. We laughed more than the pupils did. Then, fashion shows from different classes. Then our turn. I did not know how did it happen but our nursery rhythm item became a MUSICAL! haha....

Then we had bollywood dancing...
















Everyone danced along!

I did a slide of our baby photos for the kids to guess! It was really hilarious!

So funny right!?! I really laugh till I pengz as I create the slides. There were many more funny ones but since you guys dunno them, I shall not post it.

We had reporters there seeing us crazy! we even celebrated Miss Chai's 60th birthday!

Miss Chua said if any one of us can be in teaching line till our 60th birthday, we can throw our party in school too. But... WHO WANNA STAY TILL 60yrs old! =_="

Our day ended well and luckily, our Maths Trail was really well-received too. *phew* another duty of my chest. Before the trail, the gals helped to create this...





















Pyramid of cans! Chio leh. We got the kids to collect empty cans and we slowly built this. It was really not easy to shift this pyramid of cans. Haha... The pupils were supposed to guess the number of cans used. Some really did guess correctly!
