Clean Cleaning Cleaned AGAIN!

Aiyo! I've been cleaning stuffs these few days. My delicate hands (eh...ai sei haha..) are constanly under cleaning agent and water. Argh... anyway, today's plan was to sort out the math manipulatives we had in classroom. Apparently, there were feedback from teachers that they want the math manipulative to be nearer to them, especially for lower primary. Therefore, a few years back, math dept bought around 10 trolley cabinets and stored different math manipulatives for the lower primary teachers. Everything was well and sound until...

a few years later, the misuse and lack of care from the teachers. This is what happened to our trolleys.

You just cannot believe that's what happened to most of the trolleys in school. They were mostly... handicapped or paralysed!

It's such an eye sore that the representatives of the maths dept decided to do something to these trolleys before the term start!

The best part of the 'sorting out' exercise was not really about sorting. But the dust that shocked all of us. Check out the dust INSIDE the drawers! =(

It just spoilt all our initial plans of just packing and sorting the manipulatives into different trolleys. We just tot of pushing all the trolleys from different classes to a classroom on the ground level. Then, threw out all the manipulative, sort them, then put back into the trolleys and labelled them...

Now we had to stop all plans as the trolleys were just TOO DIRTY! Our fingers were covered with dust when we touched the drawers and even the things inside. Thanks to Gek Wah and Michelle (my 2 other math members), they helped in pushing the trolleys to the classroom at ground floor. Whereas Kelly and I tried to take out the things from the drawers. Oh my goodness... my poor fingers. The things were ALL so dusty and really really dirty!

After much discussion, we decided not to wipe the trolley cabinets but to WASH them. We tried to search for hose (which Kelly did) but it was not compatible with the tap. So we used the fire hose near the staircases which our operation manager kindly gave us the 'green' light (I asked him if I could use it, he said rightfully no so he 'DUNNO') haha I smiled!

Thank goodness to the hose, we were able to wash all the drawers and racks! It was so much easier to wash rather than wipe. The best part was...we couldn't just spray water on them. We needed to clean them =_=" Luckily, I bought Cif the other day and we used that to scrub the drawers. Oh My! Cif is so effective! In the end, Kelly scrubbed most of them while I did the spraying of the water.

Check us out. We were both unprepared to WASH all those and we didn't dress appropriately for this 'activity'. Basically, we washed the drawers in the rain, with the spraying of the water, we were DRENCHED! Ahhh... What a chore!

Gek Hua was really helpful. She took all the racks and put them in the rain, hopefully the rain could help us to wash away some dirts. Argh.. 13 trolleys recovered. We were really tired!

Gek Hua was helping me to arrange the trolleys to wash. She is really very nice and keen worker! I feel ashamed for those permanant teachers we have in school who do not even offer to help when needed.

Misses Wishy-Washy!

Strangely, while we were washing the drawers, the rain got bigger. Just as we were finishing, the weather got better! =_="

This is Michelle. My able helper who categorised the manipulative and wiped them clean! Bravo!

After washing, we left the drawers and racks to dry. Thank goodness the sun was out. It seemed like God was helping us in the cleaning too! Check out the numerous drawers we cleaned! Upon waiting for them to dry, we decided to have a good lunch outside school. We indeed spent a long time eating and chatting over lunch! Soon, Kel and I were dry too! haha... good for us. We could sort the manipulative happier! (though dry, still stinky! -.-)

After lunch, we came back to sort the manipulative and pack them into the trolleys. Kelly had to empty those eggs from the eggs tray and got me to wipe them! =_= a few hundreds of them. Kill me...

Of cuz, how could do without the help of Hernie Maslinda Bte Mohammad Idris. haha.. she cleaned her art room and came over to help us with the cleaning. How nice! Of cuz we needed to listen to her nonsenses while we cleared the stuffs. hahaha....

I'm going to have "multi-linked cubes' nitemares tonight! ahhhhhhh.....

From 11am we started, finally, after 6 hours, we managed to complete at 5pm!

The Trolley Parade! They looked BRAND NEW now!

****tired tired... really tired. I'm going to do a write-up and paste these pics in the staff lounge, letting all staffs to know what we have gone thru to make things possible and easier for teachers. If they were to be the one paying for all those teaching-aids, would they treat those stuffs like what they did now? I really wonder****
