PSLE marking...
Day 1 : 16th October 2006
Clues:
- This happens once a year.
- We use pencils.
- We need to flip the pages again and again.
- We see brown envelopes.
- We have regular tea breaks.
- We are given $3 per day.
- We meet teachers around the neighbourhood.
- We have targets to meet.
- We cannot make mistakes.
- We have to check, count, check, count, check and count again and again and again!
As recorders, we need not appear in the marking centre as early as the markers. hahaha.. they should be there at 7.45am whereas for us... 11.30am! I'm so thrilled! Thank goodness for that if not I would be dead after being 'tortured' by my sec fren haha..
we did nothing till 2pm for recorders. After briefing, we sat in a NON-AIRCON room for 3 hours, doing nothing! Ahhh... luckily I brought along my work to do! Marked a stack of practice paper. Yeahhh so happy!
Day 1 ended with a few packets done. We had a target of 109 packets to do! The day ended with laughters as I made friends with some teachers there. most are younger than me! I can't help to feel sorry for myself being a dip ed-er earning lesser than these young people!
Day 2 : 17th October 2006
our turn to be tortured. We had to be in the centre at 8am. Ahhh.. more n more packets piled in... :( I felt like an auditor... or worse... a factory worker! Hernie and I were in different group but in the same room. Best part was.. she sat with a group of macik (aka auntie). haha....I pity her.
Day 3 : 18th October 2006
The mundane job continued. Really cannot stand it when we did fast and diligently whereas the other group as slow as snail! Sometimes, we really wonder why these people are called teachers! They only know how to gossip lah, bitch around lah, criticise lah, complain lah but when it comes to work, NO PRODUCT! Either they pretend to do slowly, or they ARE that slow! Heard from some markers, some idiots actually pretended to mark slowly when they saw there's a big pile for everybody. Argh... they ought to be shot. Why so lazy!
Day 4 : 19th October 2006
The day we have been waiting for! The LAST DAY of PSLE marking! cannot wait to finish the packets before noon! We were rushing trying to complete our last 4 packets but a bad news struck! The next group had 11 packets left! Arghh... generally 4 packets take an hour to complete. So we would be stuck there longer! ahhhh.. I wanna kill them!
Finally we were 'released' at 1plus. So thrilled as we planned to go shopping afterwards. Best part was.. when we called nora, our ex colleague, shes still stuck in her centre! Some other colleagues stuck till 4.45pm! really cham! hahah...
Wat an experience. I'm really thrilled to think of one school day left only! hehe...
*****tired still*****
