terribly sick...

Saturday.

probably stayed up for the Germany vs Argentina match. I fell sick the very next day. Woke up at 830am for tuition at 9am! Was really lethargic. My throat was burning and I feel so hot. I knew im gng to be sick. I cant be swallow properly cuz my throat hurts! ah.. Went for tuition at Dylon's place. Then to realise Dylon was sick too. Is definitely a fever season! Friday I had 3 pupils absent. As I was teaching, I realised 1 boy falling asleep. Called him to my side and I realised he's running a fever. After recess, I noticed another gal's red face! She too had a fever. and NOW my turn. ahhh... after tuition, I realised I was really down with fever. Die...

I had to bring my violin kids to national stadium. It's SYF 40th anniversary. I knew I'm going to 'die' there. With fever, sore throat and my whole body aching, I doubt I can teach on Sunday. Called the tuition centre but no one picked up. Therefore I called J and informed her. Her words made me fuming mad!

me: J, Im Wendy. Im having a fever now. Dont think I can make it tomorrow.

J: You cannot last min inform one you noe! I have no authority to do anything.

me: Ok I will call Mrs XXX.

J: You go and see doctor now lah!

me: Is not an overnite thing (getting well) you know! Nvm, I will call Mrs XXX.

J: Ah Ya You better dont absent tomorrow ok! So last min we couldnt get relief!

me: BYE!

I was really FUMING MAD! As if I can predict I'm going to be sick last week! Bloody Hell. Really angry with her. Nvm, most angry part was I couldnt get hold of Mrs XXX. Kelly was kind enuff to help me contact her too but to no avail! Ah... I told Kelly.. NVM i will give them a piece of my mind tmr! ahhh

Reached national stadium at 2.30pm. The crowd was horrible. Can you imagine hundreds of buses unloading tonnes of children! The carpark was packed. It was worser than national day parade. And you know kids.. when they get together, they are HELL. As I was walking infront, I get to see other schools' kids. Beating each other lah, pushing lah, trying to open their umbrella but got stuck lah.. ALOT of problems. With my fever, these are killing me!

The Cadet Inspectors were the one guiding us into the stadium. Alot ppl will think they are policemen... but being an ex NPCC members, I straight away can tell! haha...but wat i can say is.. they are more friendly than army boys! Soon, I managed to lead the whole group into the stadium. I was greeted by my NIE friend straight away! so happy to see her. B4 we got to sit down, another guy came to ask me the total number of the children. Then came along another guy (who was suppose to arrange where we should be sitted). Wooo He was really yandao man! hehe...SYF can see more yandao than NDP!

Finally got sitted. Arghh I swore thats the last time Im bringing any children to such occassion! The worst has not come yet!!! Just as I was trying to arrange the children to be sitted under the scorching sun, they were given a pack of balloon. Is a long plastic bag where the children will use a straw and blow air into the plastic. Each of them has 2. So.. everyone of them started to hit with the plastic. *BANG BANG BANG* is everywhere! North South East West! My headache worsen and almost burst! ahhhh cannot take it!!! thats worse than hell!

The children got to eat while waiting. My school bought MacChicken for each of them. Well, thats a smart choice! I see school trying to gather their kids and on top of that, kids struggled with carrying heavy and bulking food packs! The school infront of me won. Their food pack can make me luff!

Tell me how to eat (esp for little children) with a box of rice, some cabbages and a CHICKEN WING! They even passed the sauces. My goodness. I mean I noe it can last the kids for a long time. But this is way toooo troublesome! When i saw their oily hands after handling the chicken wings, I laughed in my heart. Keke..

After baked for 3 hours, the show did not start yet! Wow piang..my kids all were thristy and drained. They grumbled and pestered me to let them buy a cold drink. Well, I oso pity them. So i got them to bring their water bottle with them (thinking we'll find a water cooler). Too bad. No water cooler. I gave them permission to buy a drink while I went to the toilet. Went to the stall to find my kids. To my horror, it was PACKED, jam packed with pupils! Ranging from primary to secondary school pupils. oh man.. if im inside, I sure to faint. My 2 little boys were so brave, they squeezed inside with the crowd. It was so squeeze and some pushed and screamed that the ppl working inside were pissed too! They THREW ice cubes, bottles cups, rubbishs etc out to the crowd! how scary! I was really uncomfortable standing there, waiting for the kids. But on the other hand, I was really worried that the boys would be squashed to pancakes keke...finally he got the drinks, when he came out, he was drenched.. with perspiration! poor boy! haha.. I got my drink too! Thanks to him!

As we went back the stadium once again, PM Lee arrived. So we did the usual thing. Stood and wait for him to parade the contingents, then he boarded the pick up, waved one round.. the kids shouted like nv b4.. *head breaking apart* And so the bands from Malaysia and Thailand performed. You noe wat.. CANT HEAR A SINGLE SHIT. Maybe they've not enuff members! Then 3 schools started to compete for the winner of the winner. Tanjiong Katong Sec won the best band performance and Deyi Sec's drum major won the title. Hmm their performance were better than the m'sia n thai team! hehe

Soon it was time for me to go back. I was oready half dead. Board the bus and slept all the way. It was really torturing for me cuz the bus journey seemed extraordinary LONG. Once I reached the school, Im a goner. My dear colleague Bee Leng was so kind to send me home. I quickly bathed, popped 2 panadols and slept.

That stupid Mrs XXX called me at 00:07

Tell me which soul will pick up her call!?!

****angry is the word****
