Line Dancing Vs Observation
Today I had line dancing again! 1 period with P1-5 and P1-10. I took the mike and taught them in the school hall. It was a tough job. I guess Doh Dah is too tough for them. Well, practise makes perfect. I even got the upper primary students to dance together on stage. They had great fun toO!
Straight after dancing, we went back class for lessons. I showed them powerpoint slides of uncountable nouns. I got the children to cut out newspaper cuttings and paste on the worksheets given. The class was in a mess. Newspapers 'FLY' everywhere... ahhhh
After recess was a hell period for me. I was in this REALLY anxious mood as my observation was really drawing near (3pm then. 4.55pm for observation.) Anyway, my school was one of the SEED-EL pilot schools so we got to be observed by MOE personels. It was actually nothing new to me but I wonder why I was damn nervous! Properly I did a book which was not quite my cup of tea. hehe...and oso I didnt really plan my lesson until.. yesterday night! Oh boy... I feel so lousy! I really pray hard the kids will behave!
Besides the MOE ppl, my RO (reporting officer) observed my lessons too! Every year she would observe twice. Ahhhh All the more I'm stressed! They better be good!
I went to class EARLIER, too nervous to do any other things. My principal saw me standing outside the classroom, she even smiled and wished me all the best! hahaha.. I feel like Im gng to war! FINALLY the time arrived. I went in, the children went 'mad' (as the sky turned DARK). After a song of Hokey Pokey, they went REAL mad. =_= We read 2 books and I started to group them. They went mad during group work. They were supposed to dress up one of the friends in a jigaree. Some groups really did come out with many good ideas. Kids' creativity is boundless!
MY CLASS WENT MAD. Really.. they were screaming (actually 'talking to each other' in their point of view). Regardless of my attempt in cooling them down.. they continued talking. North South East West.. ahhhhhhhh I was at my wits. really so angry with them. Especially when I had 3 visitors in the class. THEY WERE SOoooo noisy! ahhhhh sometimes I wonder do they resemble me?! Being so talkative and bubbly and yakky and.. ahhhh ISSIT ME?! I was so angry to a point that I told them, "MY TEMPER IS NOT GOOD OK!" And one has to add on,"TEMPLE? 庙ah!?" :..( kill me....
Tomorrow another observation. Part 2 of this learning experience. Ahhhh =(
****rest time. Meet-the-Parents session tmr. I hope I can end b4 10am!****
