Racial Harmony Day 2007

every year before my birthday, the nation celebrates Racial Harmony Day. For those of you who are not in school, you juz dunno how much we value this day! keke...

And every RHD, we would be in our... sari!

We can't do it without Mrs Suraindran, our sari expert!

Even though so many years we asked her to help, we simply juz dun get it! Wearing sari is really an art!

You see! All the turns and folds and wrapping and safety pinning... =_=" Kelly was trying to breathe in harder I think. HAHA...

3 of us being happy in the staff lounge!

Hernie in her baju kurong. Gorgeous right? I mean the baju.. :P and that's kelly in the completed folds of Sari.

Every racial harmony day, my staff welfare chairperson aka Mrs Suraindran would get people to order some food to 'celebrate' this special day. Last year we had teochew porridge. This year... chinese tim sum and malay gado gado! Yummy to the max!

Still under cling film!

This year Hernie was in-charge of the catering. Therefore, Kelly and I went up to the 3rd level to acc her then we went back to the office (for some air con). I went into the staff lounge and saw....

A waitress. -_-"

Jac asked for Mrs Suraindran's help too! See... how important indian heritage is...

Julian (did not wear ethnic clothes!) and I

Soon, all went up to the 3rd level for the feast. The glutinous rice was delicious! The gado gado too!

Sailormoon Shimin and Ah Neh-Kel

This colleague of mine - Serene was juz so on! Check out her outfit!

So cool rite!

Then ... lessons as usual :( Imagine weather so warm and my whole day in sari. nearly faint though.

My kids were all in their ethnic costumes too!

All the teachers were juz so on!

Soon it was time for us to go for lessons. On the way to class... I saw...

Jac in sari having Hockey lessons. I wanna die luffing...

Teachers in ethnic costumes and trolleys! SO WARM!

My class in their costumes. Some look juz so cute!

Some of us were juz too tired to teach for the day. Since there're PE lessons for us, we took them for some line-dancing!
